Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli is urging constituents to consider worthy individuals in the riding for nomination for two awards being handed out by the Ontario Association of Career Colleges.

The deadline to put forward nominees in the categories of Excellence in Teaching and Outstanding Graduates is February 28, 2013.

Nominees in the Excellence in Teaching category:

· will have put forth extraordinary efforts in their particular field of teaching while
at a registered career college that is an OACC member; and

· will have achieved excellence in the areas of building positive relationships with their students and contributing to their community.

Nominees in the Outstanding Graduate categories:

· will have clearly demonstrated their academic excellence while enrolled at a
registered career college that is an OACC member; and

· will have achieved outstanding success while employed in their career field;

· and will have made an invaluable contribution to their community.

The Ontario Association of Career Colleges will present the awards at its 40th annual conference in Windsor on Thursday, May 30.

Ontario’s career college sector has been in existence for over 140 years, and now trains over 60,000 Ontarians every year.

“Please consider putting forward the name of a deserving candidate here in Nipissing,” said Fedeli.
