OPP is warning motorists to be on the lookout for wildlife at night after this moose collision on Highway 11 near Tilden Lake last night at 8:50 p.m.
No injuries to vehicle occupants, however police report that the moose did not survive.
The biggest hours for car-moose accidents are from 6 to 10 p.m.
The Temiskaming Detachment of the OPP have documented 11 collisions involving moose and one collision involving a bear in June alone. The Temagami area seems to be particularly dangerous.
