Hamilton's Terra Lightfoot will be taking part in the Capitol Centre's Rooftop Sessions.

In a scene reminiscent of that famous Beatles concert, the rooftop of the Capitol Centre is the new outdoor stage for a series of streamed concerts featuring four different musical acts.

From June 17 to 24th. musicians will participate in The ROOFTOP SESSIONS high atop the Capitol Centre building and against a backdrop of the sunset (hopefully) over Lake Nipissing.

"Ontario has entered step one of its reopening plan," says Dan Misturada, Interim Executive Director. "The Capitol Centre, along with hundreds of other arts and music venues, remains prohibited from streaming from our own stage. Even with no audience. Since we can't be inside, we are heading outside to the roof."

Misturada says they won't be able to perform indoors until sometime in July according to the current Ontario Reopening Plan. Due to those current rules, Misturada says they have had to cancel five performances and three facility rentals for the month of June.

The best way to enjoy the ROOFTOP SESSIONS concerts is to purchase tickets to watch the live streams online. Tickets are $15 each and available through the Capitol Centre's website.

The performers can't be seen from the street, though they can be heard.

 The ROOFTOP SERIES features:

  • Carl Dixon, Canadian Rock Legend formerly of The Guess Who, April Wine and Coney Hatch
