There are new capacity limits at City arenas starting today as governments struggle to slow transmission of the Omicron variant.

The province announced Friday capacity at sports and entertainment venues with an indoor capacity of 1,000 people or more will be limited to 50 per cent. This includes North Bay’s Memorial Gardens and the West Ferris and Pete Palangio arenas. The province is also restricting food and drink services at such venues.

The new capacity limits at City arenas will be as follows:

  • Spectator Seating 2131
  • Hall of Fame Meeting Area 30
  • Club Lounge Meeting Area 30
  • Scout Room 15

Pete Palangio Arena

  • Spectator Seating 75 per pad
  • Boardroom 30

West Ferris Arena

  • Ice Surface 50
  • Spectator Seating 300

There will be no food or beverage permitted in the arenas. Players will be permitted to bring in a water bottle. Face coverings must be worn inside the arenas and during public skating.
