Canoeing down the streets of North Bay?

It's definitely not every day you see a canoer literally paddling down the streets of North Bay

Well, canoeing is a very popular sport in the summer months thanks to the city of North Bay being sandwiched between Lake Nipissing and Trout Lake.

But it's definitely not every day you see a canoer literally paddling down the streets of North Bay.

But that's exactly what this resident up on Airport Hill was doing late this morning after the nasty storm which swept through the area this morning bringing with it hail, thunder, lightning and you guessed it, flash flooding.

The photo was going viral today after it was posted on the popular local Facebook group "Spotted in North Bay."

Airport Hill wasn't the only place in the city to experience the flash flooding as the same problem - minus the canoe - could be found in the Pinewood and downtown areas namely on Ferguson and Fraser.
