Canadore College was awarded the Gold Paragon Award for its
academic calendar
, at the 2003 Paragon Awards, held March 9, 2004 in Baltimore, Maryland.

Canadore’s winning entry was selected from among 1,640 entries, by a panel of more than 40 judges and represents the first time that a Canadian college has been awarded a gold award.

Sponsored by the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR), the Paragon Awards recognize outstanding achievement in communications at community, junior and technical colleges.

It is the only national competition of its kind that honors excellence exclusively among marketing and PR professionals at tow-year colleges.

NCMPR is an affiliate of the American Association of Community Colleges.

“This is wonderful recognition of Canadore’s branding efforts and reinforces our research, which shows that our current marketing efforts are connecting with our audience,” said Barry Bousfield, Director of Marketing for Canadore College.

“It’s especially rewarding to win an award for our academic calendar, as we’ve made a real effort to ensure that it’s a useful and easy-to-use tool for our prospective students.”

Honoured By Association Of Ontario Colleges
The Association of Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology have awarded Canadore College their 2004 Trillium Award in recognizing excellence in college advancement.

Canadore College won the award for its poster, featuring the “girl on the dock” overlooking the pond and Canadore’s College Drive campus, along with photo representations of the College’s four key academic sectors.

Photography for the poster and academic calendar was completed by local photographer Ed Eng, and based on Bill Brooks' image "Girl in Red".

Canadore adopted its new look in the Fall of 2002.
