A major road contruction project in Callander is nearing completion.
The expected completion date for the project, worth $5,724,256. is October 30.
MTO Communications Coordinator Heather Hamel tells BayToday the contract includes pavement rehabilitation of the road base and new asphalt. Work also includes improvements to drainage and electrical components, the rehabilitation of the Burford Creek culvert, and removal of the CNR overhead structure.
The rehabilitation of Highway 94 is from the south junction of Terrace Road northerly to Lansdowne Street.
The contract was awarded August 29, 2019 to J & P Leveque Bros. Haulage Limited.
The contract also includes improvements to pavement and drainage of the scenic lookout area for Lake Nipissing.
