Cache Bay teen dies in collision

The Ontario Provincial Police have released the name of a 15-year-old killed ina motor vehicle collision on Hwy 17 and Dubeau Road, in Verner.

Police said an eastbound motor vehicle struck a snowmobile crossing the highway fatally injuring Bryan Poirier of Cache Bay.

The highway remained closed to east and westbound traffic as the investigation was conducted at the scene and was subsequently reopened at 6:10 AM January 28.

The investigation is continuing and police are requesting any witnesses to the accident to contact the OPP.
