Broken windshield leads to police attention leads to drug charges

A Huntsville OPP officer noticed a car being driven with a broken windshield in Huntsville Saturday evening and decided to investigate.

The officer saw the driver of the car was showing signs of impairment and she was arrested. A search resulted in police locating a quantity of a controlled substance. A total of 0.05 grams of Fentanyl was seized.

The OPP also arrested and charged the 32-year-old male with a drug-related offence. 

Denika Blondin, 28, of South River, is charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule 1 substance
  • Operation of a motor vehicle while impaired by drug

The passenger of the car, Kyle Stockdale,32, of South River, is charged with:

-        Possession of a schedule 1 substance   

Both were released from custody and are scheduled to appear on July 07 in the Ontario Court of Justice Huntsville.
