When OPP stopped at the side of Highway 11 near Englehart Saturday morning to help, what appeared to be, a sledder with a broken-down machine they got a surprise.
Investigation showed that it was the male driver that required help... he had allegedly been consuming alcohol.
Police charged Cody Savoie, 20, of Englehart, with:
- Adult operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus),
- Adult operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs,
- Fail to produce evidence of Insurance,
- Three counts of Drive motorized snow vehicle while licence suspended
- Fail to display evidence of permit, and
- Fail to produce evidence of registration.
The vehicle was towed from the scene, and impounded.
