News Release

**********************

Area school breakfast programs will be getting a financial boost, thanks to many local grocery stores. A fundraiser, called “Breakfast Anyone?” will run March 1 - 10, 2013.
The public is encouraged to donate a loonie at the cash register of participating stores. 100% of proceeds stay locally.

The Student Nutrition Program supports breakfast and snack programs in 65 Nipissing and Parry Sound schools. The funding schools receive pays only a small part of the actual cost of feeding students. Some reasons for children arriving hungry include; long commutes, socio-economic factors, not being hungry upon arising or they have been at school practising sports before classes start.

Several of last year’s participants are coming on board for 2013. Please support “Breakfast Anyone?” and help our students to attend class well-nourished and ready to learn.
Please call 476-3288, ext. 282 for more information.

The Student Nutrition Program is proudly sponsored by Community Living North Bay.
