The Toronto Maple Leafs wealth of talent upfront in the organization seems to have made an impact on Justin Brazeau.

Brazeau, who was re-assigned to the Toronto Marlies after a short stint at Leafs Main Camp, has now been re-assigned to the Newfoundland Growlers of the ECHL.

The 6'7" Battalion forward played in a couple of pre-season games with the Marlies including tallying one goal and one assist in a 4-3 loss at the hands of the Rochester Americans in Newmarket on Sunday.

Brazeau will join his new Growlers teammates today for the start of the defending ECHL champions 2019 Training Camp which is taking place in Mississauga and Brampton.

A total of 31 skaters, including 18 forwards, 10 defensemen and three goaltenders comprise the Growlers’ roster to start training camp, which kicks off at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre in Mississauga on Tuesday.

The 21-year-old from New Liskeard set a new Battalion mark for goals in a season and is one of just three North Bay OHL stars to surpass the 60 goal plateau joining former Centennials Vitali Yachmenev who scored 61 in 1993-94, and Nick Kypreos who netted 62 during the 1985-86 season.
