Dr. Jim Chirico, Medical Officer of Health, lifted the boil water advisory for the remaining users in Verner, south of the Veuve River, on Saturday, January 26. The set of drinking water samples were tested, with satisfactory results and other parameters at normal operational levels.
The remaining residents were notified of the results on Saturday. They were also told to run each of their cold water taps for one minute on first time use to remove any sediment. Large volume users were advised to run cold water taps for two minutes on first time use.
