Building the Bioeconomy – Combatting Climate Change is this year’s theme for the first Biomass North annual general meeting (AGM) and forum in North Bay.

The event is focused on moving the Canadian bioeconomy further along the value chain through knowledge sharing, technology demonstrations, workshops on policy gaps and skills development, and building strategic partnerships between industry, communities, and academia.

The three-day event will be held at North Bay’s Clarion Resort Pinewood Park.

The forum’s flagship event streams include the Climate Action Forum and the Building a Regional Bioeconomy Seminar, to discuss the importance of forest, agriculture and urban biomass resources in addressing climate change from both national and regional perspectives.

A gala awards dinner will recognize the best and most innovative sector leaders. Nominations are currently being accepted in 10 district awards categories.

Additional events include a research symposium, workshops, a trade show, job fair, and the AGM for Biomass North members.

Tickets are available online, and sponsorship opportunities are available.

The Biomass North Development Centre supports the development of a robust bioeconomy in Canada.
