For the second time in two days, the North Bay Battalion were unable to hold onto a third period lead as they fell 3-2 at the hands of the Peterborough Petes during the pre-season tournament taking place in Kitchener this weekend.

Simon Rose and Bradley Chenier scored second period goals to give the Battalion a 2-0 lead in the middle frame.

Liam Kirk got the Petes on the board late in the second period.

Josh Kavanaugh and Cameron Butler scored just over five minutes apart in the final frame to complete the comeback win.

Christian Purboo made 38 saves in the loss.

The Battalion finish off a busy weekend of pre-season OHL hockey with an 11 a.m. contest against the Saginaw Spirit.
