Area gas prices took another big jump yesterday and are on an upward trajectory over the dollar a litre mark.
On Monday, a litre of regular gas was around 87 cents. A couple of weeks ago it sat at .79 cents a litre.
That's an increase of about 27 per cent.
On May 6, Premier Doug Ford complained that higher gas prices in northern Ontario are 'totally' unfair,' but offered no solution.
"Are the gas companies just trying to gouge people." Ford wondered aloud. "We're going to get an explanation of the gas prices because it's unacceptable. Absolutely unacceptable."
