North Bay police have made an arrest in that parking lot assault case from three weeks ago.

Shortly after 6:30 a.m. on Friday, October 4 police responded to a report of an assault in a business parking lot on Main Street.

A woman was putting an item into the trunk of her vehicle when she was approached by an unknown woman who pushed her and began swearing at her. The victim fled and contacted 911.

When police arrived the suspect had left the area.

In a news release today, police say a woman was located on October 19 and arrested without incident.

Diane Tammet, 44, of North Bay has been charged with assault.

Tammet was later released from custody and will appear in the North Bay Courthouse on November 26.
