Argument gets out of control

A man in North Bay has been charged after allegedly assaulting a woman he knows.

The incident occurred Saturday when an argument between the two people began and escalated to the point of a physical altercation.

North Bay police say the man assaulted the woman, and later grabbed her by the throat and punched her, causing a swollen face and a black eye.

This was reported to the North Bay Police Service the next day, and constables Mark Ethier and Jeff Warner
were able to track down the man and arrest him.

Shawn Neil Goulais, 28, of no fixed address, is charged with two counts of Assault Bodily Harm. He remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.


BREAK AND ENTER


Overnight on the 16th of July thieves forced the rear bedroom window in a
home within the 100 block of Sherryl Cr. The thieves stole numerous computer
games and DVDs.
