The application period for one of two Ministry of Government programs offering opportunities to youth and new professionals is now open, Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli said today.
Applications for the Ontario Internship Program (OIP) are now being accepted until noon January 21, 2014.
The Ontario Internship Program (OIP) introduces recent university and college graduates (within the past two years) to the Ontario Public Service (OPS), offering two one-year paid internships in a variety of focus areas, with assignments starting in June.
As well, the Summer Employment Opportunities (SEO) program offers work experience for high school and post-secondary students.
SEO positions for this year will be posted in two time windows this year. The first job ads will be posted between February 14 and March 2.
These positions will be approximately 10 to 16 weeks long and will begin as early as May 1, 2014. The second round of ads will be for positions that are seven to 10 weeks long, and will begin as early as June 1, 2014.
These job ads will be posted between March 21 and April 6.
