The North Bay Battalion (27-23-7-2) were in Hamilton (37-16-3-3) to take on the Bulldogs, looking to rebound after a tough 4-2 defeat from the Niagara Ice Dogs the night before, however, the Troops would fall 4-1 to the Bulldogs.

The Battalion did not have the start they envisioned as the first shot on goal in the opening minute found the back of the net from MacKenzie Entwistle to put Hamilton up 1-0.

The Troops rebounded, however, as their first shot, which came moments later on the powerplay, would find the back of the net. Adam Thilander scoring his second in as many games and days.

Just after the TV timeout in the first, two tough competitors in Daniel Walker and Benjamin Gleason would drop the gloves, with Walker landing some solid hits, but no one would score the takedown.

However, Daniel Walker would exit the game while serving his penalty.

Midway through the second, Marian Studenic put Hamilton up 2-1 after scoring his 17th of the season.

Shortly after taking the lead, Justin Lemke on the powerplay would put Hamilton up 3-1.

90 seconds into the third and Nicholas Caamano powered around Riley Bruce, Christian Propp stopping the shot, but Arthur Kaliyev snapping the rebound home for his 28th of the season to put Hamilton up 4-1.

From that point on, Hamilton’s defence suffocated any chance the Battalion could muster and finished the game with their 3 goal lead intact.
