Another COVID-19 hospitalization in the district

The Nipissing-Parry Sound District Health Unit is now reporting 11 people in the area have tested positive for COVID-19. 

On Saturday, the Health Unit reported a new community spread case relating to a male in his 20s. The individual is in self-isolation.  

On Sunday afternoon, the Health Unit reports a male in his 80s is hospitalized. The health unit noted it was acquired through community spread.    

The man is the fourth individual who has been hospitalized due to the coronavirus. 

Six of the 11 COVID-19 patients have had their condition resolved according to the Health Unit, while one is in self-isolation. 

A total of eight of the cases are in the Nipissing District while three are located in the Parry Sound District.    

The area Health Unit reports that it has done 531 tests.
