Another blow to North Bay Mall

Everything in the store, which isn't much, is selling for $2

It's a big loss to the North Bay Mall on Lakeshore Drive and for West Ferris retail choices.

This is the last day of business for the retail clothing giant Urban Planet in North Bay, leaving a gaping hole in a mall dotted with empty spaces.

An employee told BayToday it was closing because of lack of business.

Everything in the store, which isn't much, is selling for $2.

The Urban Planet store is not relocating to another part of the city as its predecessor Winners did.

The Source (formerly Radio Shack) also closed in the same mall recently.

Winners, which occupied the Urban Planet location previously, closed its North Bay Mall location and moved into McKeown Commons Mall next to Canadian Tire in the city's bustling west end where Nipissing University, Canadore College, and the North Bay Regional Hospital are located. The new casino is also expected to be built nearby, across the highway from the hospital.
