Animal cruelty charges laid

OPP say a family pet was targeted after the owner let the animal outside.

On November 23, at 8 a.m. OPP and Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Canine Unit received a call regarding an injured dog.

The dog was only outside for a short period of time, but returned to the owner’s home with an arrow embedded in its side.

As a result of police investigation William Fuller, 51 years, of Goulais River, has been charged with one count of Cruelty To Animals.

Fuller is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sault Ste. Marie on January 11, 2016.
