Bonfield resident Kenneth Prescott recently took the two photos seen here and in the photo gallery while out snowmobiling.

Prescott, director of the Bonfield Snowmobile Club, said it was about chilly when the pictures, of the Amable Du Fond river, were taken.

He and other club members were taking guests from Brockville out on a tour of the Bonfield snowmobile trail when they stopped to admire the scenery.

Prescott took the pictures near Hwy 630 at Kiosk, he said.

"It's kind of a pretty spot," Prescott said.

"There's a private hydro dam, and there was ice and mist, and it was a cold morning, around -25 C.

The group then rode to Mattawa, to Camp Connewango, and Talon Lake, Prescott said, riding a total of about 105 miles.
