The Alzheimer Society of North Bay & district in partnership with Stay on Your Feet Nipissing, are please to present an educational session with Dr. Don Weaver, MD, PhD, FRCPC.                    

Dr. Weaver will be talking about “Alzheimer’s – Are we able to diagnose and treat it?” He will also talk about gait and cognitive impairment. 

Dr. Weaver is Director of the Toronto Western Research Institute at the University of Toronto. 

He is a neurologist and drug research scientist who specializes in the treatment of dementia and epilepsy.

He has an active research program focused on the design and discovery of drugs for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.

His research has received a number of national and international awards.  Recently, he was a Canadian representative at the G8 Summit meeting in London England, discussing the international response to Alzheimer’s disease as a growing public health issue.

Please join us on Monday February 24th, 2014 at the Best Western, 700 Lakeshore Drive North Bay, for this free public presentation. 

Registration begins at 6:30 p.m. and the presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m. with time for questions afterwards.
