An argument between a man and his wife turned violent in their home Friday evening when he assaulted her.

Police add that on Saturday shortly before 10 p.m., in the same North Bay home, the husband threatened a male relative and then assaulted him with an aluminum baseball bat.

The relative suffered minor injuries.

The investigation was the result of a 9-1-1 call reporting a domestic disturbance.

North Bay Police arrested and charged a 32-year old North Bay man with:

  • One count of assault;
  • One count of uttering threats; and
  • One count of assault with a weapon.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Police say in the interest of protecting the identities of the victims, they will not be releasing the name of the accused.
