Nipissing University’s Mentor program, in partnership with the Canadian Federation of University Women – North Bay, is proud to present a screening of the film 'A Closer Walk,' on Wednesday, November 23 at 7:00 p.m. in the Weaver
Auditorium (B200).

A Closer Walk chronicles the ravages of the AIDS epidemic worldwide, from Africa and Asia to Europe and America.

A challenging and often painful film, it documents the link between AIDS and the world’s disadvantaged.

Following the screening, a panel commentary will take place featuring Vicky Samuel, a Rwandan refugee and Nipissing University Nursing Student; Joyce Masawa, a participant with Canada World Youth from Kenya; Mary Anna Beer, Co-founder and Co-Chair of the York Region Million Dollar Campaign for the Stephen Lewis Foundation; Karen Browning, of the Aids Committee North Bay and Area; and Christian and Christine Fortin, fundraisers for HIV/Aids Research.

The event is free of charge and is open to the public.
