Advance polls open tomorrow (Friday)

If you have not received your voter card, you can check with Elections Canada to see if you are registered to vote

Voters will have an opportunity to put candidates feet to the fire Tuesday.

Your first chance to vote in the federal election takes place tomorrow (Friday) as advance polls open to electors.

To find your advance polling station, check your voter information card or use the Voter Information Service.

Vote at your assigned polling station from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on:

  • Friday, October 11
  • Saturday, October 12
  • Sunday, October 13
  • Monday, October 14

The regular polls are open October 21, election day.

There are multiple ways to vote, by checking the Elections Canada website.

If you have not received your voter card, you can check with Elections Canada to see if you are registered to vote. Changes can be made up until Oct. 14.

Bring photo identification and if not you must present two pieces of identification, one of which includes your address.

See your options and the full list of ID accepted at the polls.

To vote in the federal election, you must:

  • be a Canadian citizen
  • be at least 18 years old on election day, October 21
  • prove your identity and address
