Oscar Award winning actor Ernest Borgnine died in Los Angeles today at the age of 95.
His manager confirmed Sunday that the film and television actor died due to renal failure.
He won is Oscar for his role as the Butcher in the 1955 classic Marty and had a lengthy list of movies that includes From Here to Eternity and Bad Day at Black Rock.
The Emmy nominee’s television roles include 1962-66 sitcom McHale's Navy, The Hollywood Squares and The Wild Bunch.
He also voiced a character for the wildly popular children's cartoon ‘Sponge Bob Square Pants’.
