Three motorists face drunk driving charges after tips from citizens to police Saturday.
The first happened shortly before 1 a.m. on Saturday, when police were called about a motorist who was suspected of driving impaired. The driver was stopped on Lakeshore Drive where police arrested a 49-year old man and later charged him with:
- one count of driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in his blood.
Then an hour later someone contacted police to report a driver they suspected was drunk. Police found a 43-year old man in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle on McKeown Avenue. He was arrested and later charged with:
- one count of care and control of vehicle while impaired;
- one count of refuse to provide sample; and
- one count of possession of cannabis resin (hash).
Saturday afternoon a concerned citizen contacted police to report another motorist who was suspected of driving impaired.
A car was stopped on Giroux Street and police arrested a 49-year old man and later charged him with:
- one count of impaired driving and
- one count of driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in his blood.
