$60,000 in overpayments results in fraud charge

She had been receiving and filing false information on her monthly income reporting statements.

A North Bay woman accused of accepting an overpayment over $60,000 in benefits through the Ontario Works Program to which she was not entitled has been charged by police with fraud.

Police say that between May 2010 and June 2015, she is accused of failing to report additional income she had been receiving and of filing false information on her monthly income reporting statements.

The fraud complaint was reported to police on February 2nd, 2016.

North Bay Police arrested and charged Tiffany Gail Womack, age 40 of North Bay at police headquarters yesterday with one count of fraud over $5,000.

Womack was released with a court date scheduled for March 15th.
