115 pounds of marijuana seized by Street Crime Unit

The North Bay Police Street Crime Unit has seized 115 pounds of marijuana, worth $300,000 after stopping a vehicle on Highway 11 yesterday.

The action was not part of a larger investigation and police say the drugs originated from western Canada.

Police have charged Vlada Kojic, 53, of Caledonia with:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Distributing Cannabis; and
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime.

Police stopped the southbound vehicle on Highway 11. The search of the vehicle found 115 pounds of marijuana and $2,450 in cash.

The estimated street value of the marijuana is $300,000. 

Kojic is in custody for a bail hearing today.
