The Business Centre Nipissing Parry Sound (TBC) is a provincially-funded not-for-profit organization that strives to help entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey.

"At TBC we know that successful businesses build thriving communities, and our goal is to assist entrepreneurs by providing free training, resources, programs and advisory services," says a news release.

The Starter Company Plus Program has been very successful. Between 2013 and 2022, TBC has distributed 166 grants to new and expanding businesses; trained 330 entrepreneurs through business development workshops, and completed 35 intakes.

TBC has announced the Starter Company Plus Program is back.

"Whether you’re starting a business from scratch or expanding your existing enterprise," says Kennedy Horton, Program and Event Coordinator.

"TBC is here to get you going with this free program. Expanding businesses must be within five years of the initial start date. We recognize entrepreneurs, while focused across many industries, still have a handful of things in common.

"We will help small businesses learn key aspects of business development with the final goal of completing a business plan and the potential to pitch for $5,000 in grant funding. We are currently working on program planning and will release more information as it becomes available."

Applications will open soon; stay connected through their website at www.tbcnps.ca.
