Letter to the editor: Curry sees racism where none exists, claims reader

Mr. Curry is entitled to his assertion that mass immigration is good for the country, but when he implies that the PPC immigration policy is “racist” I think he is seeing racism where there isn’t any.

“The fact that immigration is a non-issue in the federal election campaign is good news.” – Don Curry

Don Curry rightly states immigration is not an issue in this federal election.

One reason it is not an issue is that the major parties are all in favour of mass immigration.

The PPC is not, but since PPC leader Max Bernier is not invited to the upcoming leaders' debate, and mainstream media refuses to interview Mr. Bernier on this or any issue, you probably won’t hear why not.

No debate, no issue.

You may hear from Mr. Bernier on Rebel News but as Mr. Curry warns,“...I am sure there are those who follow Rebel News, Canada’s answer to the far-right lunatics in the U.S. Their venom and disinformation are widely shared on social media as though it was factual.”

He also wrote, “I read their (PPC) policies on immigration and multiculturalism online and it was a tough read. The word “racist,” which I never use lightly, comes to mind.”

Mr. Curry is entitled to his assertion that mass immigration is good for the country, but when he implies that the PPC immigration policy is “racist” I think he is seeing racism where there isn’t any.

Then again, maybe I’m blind to it. I urge everyone to go to the PPC home page, read the party’s position, find the racism and let us know if you see the racism.
