Editor's note: Mr. Ramsay writes in response to previous opinion letters titled Protesters must stop stealing the Canadian flag. and Where do we come up with all these delusional snowflakes. Also, Extremist groups have taken over, causing trouble.

To the editor:

All of this noise over the flag recently in BayToday disturbs me.

We are all, regardless of our opinions, Canadians and the flag belongs to all of us. To suggest that people displaying the flag while protesting are stealing the flag or attempting to change its meaning shows a total lack of knowledge of the protesters.

Outside of the debatable claims made by some in the protests, a vast majority are people who are passionate about being Canadian and proud of this country and its flag. When you speak to them it's almost always about love for Canada and all Canadians alongside worry about what is happening in this country.

Once we all understand that they are protesting out of love for this country, we can talk about these things like adults and resolve our issues pretty easily.

Acting like the guy that delivers your groceries is a terrorist because he worries about his future, his family and his country, causes more division. Don't be that person.
