To the editor:
As a proud Canadian veteran, “it warms the cockles of my heart” to see such positive feedback from North Bay residents pertaining to the singing of 'O Canada.'
Political correctness and woke-ism are akin to a rampaging army seeking to destroy everything in its path without any fore or afterthought of the consequences.
I was beginning to think that this country was becoming a lost cause due to such little pushback against people whose sole purpose in life seems to be tearing down the very fabric of this great nation.
It begs the question, how can an infinitesimal number of people wield so much influence? I now feel the pendulum is starting to move the other way even though it is at a glacial pace.
Canadians are now openly saying enough is enough. Let's make a concerted effort to stop this nonsense and take what has made this country the best place on this little blue planet.
