To the editor:
It is sad that our national anthem offends.
We should abandon it and replace it with a beep.
Every day CBC alerts us that ''the beep after a long pause indicates exactly one o'clock." That should become our national anthem.
The pause and beep are inoffensive, polite, mediocre, boring, multicultural and symbolic in our collective history.
