Editor's note: Ms. Kilburn writes in response to the BayToday article LETTER: Plant-based diets can be 'extremely healthy'

-----

To the editor:

Thank you so much to the Lakehead profs for their sound, evidence-based, and accurate Letter regarding vegan diets as healthy.

I've been vegan for the last three years, and my health has improved greatly.

In addition to this, I'm no longer contributing to animal cruelty, which is inherent in eating any fish or animal flesh.

And I'm no longer contributing to the gross misuse of our soil, and water, and air, due to animal "farming."

Now if our governments would only smarten up, and shift some of the financial support they provide to animal farming, transportation, processing, etc., to plant farming...
