Lonely Oak Alpaca farm, located in Callander Ontario, was established in 2011 by Lise and Tim. Alpacas are amazing animals that have adapted well to the Canadian climate and produce warm, soft and hypoallergenic fibre. Lise Marleau Nesbitt is a fibre artist known for her one-of-a-kind garments and accessories that showcase her love of colour and texture. She works almost exclusively with alpaca fibre by hand dyeing, hand carding, hand spinning it into yarn. The yarn is then used in her knitting and her weaving to produce highly prized products. Everything is made with attention to detail and care for quality workmanship.
Lonely Oak Alpacas also works with several Canadian mills to transform their fibre into yarn, socks, insoles, mittens, duvets, dryer balls and so on. Those visiting the Callander area can contact them to visit their farm store. We do not offer farm tours at the moment.
Customers appreciate the creative accessories that provide warmth and softness to face our Canadian winter in style and comfort.
