The North Bay Regional Health Centre's COVID-19 outreach team has completed all its testing at area long term care homes.
"The Health Centre’s COVID-19 Assessment Centre Outreach Team, worked closely with North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit to collect a total of 1239 swabs," the Regional Health Centre posted via social media on Thursday afternoon.
The outreach team conducted testing at Cassellholme, Nipissing Manor, Water’s Edge and Eastholme and tested both residents and staff.
"A special shout out to the Powassan & Area Family Health Team for lending your expertise," the social media post continued.
So far the only COVID-19 positive test during the outreach team's work has been at Cassellholme where they revealed one true positive test earlier this week.
On May 12, the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit received confirmation from a Microbiologist at the Ontario Public Health Lab in Toronto that the positive test result at Cassellholme was a true positive.
