The phones will be busy today at several area golf courses -- booking tee times for Saturday.

Highview in Powssan, Laurentide in Sturgeon Falls and the Mattawa Golf & Ski Resort and "members-only" play at the North Bay Golf and Country Club, and Pinewood Park Golf Course will all be open Saturday.

At Pinewood all 18 holes will be open Saturday morning with the driving range to follow on Tuesday.

Osprey Links in Callander will be only offering nine holes of play on the back nine.

Jeff Rogerson, manager of the Osprey Links Golf Course outlined a number of changes in a bulletin to golfers which will likely be similar at other courses.

"Entry to the Pro-Shop and washrooms will be restricted and limited food and beverage services will be available from the take-out window," said Rogerson in the bulletin relating to COVID-19 safety measures.

"All other areas in the building are closed. Please read and adhere to all signage."

Rogerson says each player must be equipped with their own equipment and supplies.

"No sharing of clubs, balls, or golf accessories," continued Rogerson.
