Second Saturday Stories starts off 2022 with a trip back into Medieval times in the featured story: The Caulderwilde Chronicles. The story will be part one in an ongoing series that follows the residents of Caulderwilde, a land divided between forces of good, evil, and those caught somewhere in between.

In the first installment readers will be introduced to King Albert Rygeer and a few of his allies in Greytusk castle.

The story takes place just after new year's day when snow has blanketed the fields of green grass and stripped the leaves from the trees. Leaving the entirety of Caulderwilde in frozen anticipation for Spring's warm return. The king worries that melancholy will spread and so devises two events to keep spirits as well as skill up. It is decided there will be a great hunt and a fierce tournament to challenge all who enter. The castle's coffers have been thrown open and a small fortune awaits the handful of brave souls who outperform the rest.

Participants from all over the realm will flock to Greytusk Castle to take part in the events, but both the Hunt and the Tournament hold unseen pitfalls for those who enter. Will the spoils go to a villager to improve their station? One of the king's men looking to ingratiate themselves to the Kingdom? or will the forces of evil penetrate the events and use the gains to further spread corruption and malice?

Check out Second Saturday Stories today at 3 p.m. to meet the court of Castle Greytusk and find out more about the Caulderwilde Chronicles.
