Calling all local writers.

With the Eddie Banner Mystery series concluding, Second Saturday Stories is looking for other local talents to spotlight. If you are a writer and would like to be featured in the column, please email a piece of original work to [email protected]  where they will be reviewed by column creator Mark French.

Each selected writer will be featured in two consecutive Second Saturday Stories, so you may choose to write two independent pieces or a tale told in two parts.

Interested writers are encouraged to email the above gmail address with:

Two original pieces of writing that are no longer than 2,000 words each.

A short summarization of the work you are submitting no longer than 200 words.

A short biography on yourself and your writing career no longer than 200 words.

Second Saturday Stories encourages writers to submit pieces that are true to their writing style, but also keep the diversity of the audience in mind (think content rated PG-13)

Writers have until 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 9th to submit content that will be featured in the June 12th instalment of Second Saturday Stories. Writers selected will be contacted by email and informed they are going to be featured.

Any questions can be directed to [email protected]

Happy Writing!
