In a section of forest devastated by a fire there is a cave system inhabited by a wizard. The lore surrounding this wizard from the village nearby is akin to that of the boogeyman. Villagers pester their belligerent children to 'eat your greens or Wormwood will get you.' These same children dare their friends to venture into "Wormwood's house" anytime they face a dark corner of the village or forest that they dare to venture into.
All of this is done with strict superstition. Those parents throw salt over their shoulders at the mention of his name and the exploratory children devolve into a shoving match over who will go first that eventually builds to games closer to the light of their homes. For no one truly wants to come face to face with the crazed mind of Wormwood. No one, that is, until now.
Bishop Ironcraft sought out the Wizard in hopes the superstitions were just that: a sad old Hermit living in the woods that developed a misunderstood reputation. Being misunderstood by the villagers was a fate Bishop and his siblings are familiar with, so he felt a kinship with the old man. When he found him, Bishop realised truth and lore were not so different, and that Wormwood deserved every ounce of fear from the villagers.
Bishop now finds himself bound by a curse to the cave dwelling of Wormwood, the only person with the knowlege of how to lift the curse. But with Wormwood mysteriously absent Bishop realizes it's now or never and plots an escape. Will he stay bound to the enchanted cave forever, or has he learned just enough from the old wizard to cast some spells of his own?
