ONE OF THE MOST TEDIOUS TASKS

As I gather information on my family history, I realize that inevitably, I will have to organize this information into some kind of understandable form that all my family and descendants to follow will be able to decipher.

MISSING ANCESTORS…A WALK AWAY

I have started walking regularly everyday for 40 minutes. At first, I had to figure out how far I could go before I needed to turn back for home.

WHO KNEW?

After years of waiting to access the 1911 census for the United Kingdom the wait is over. A newly found cousin of mine from New Zealand sent me an email detailing the family on the 1911 census in Dover.

BEING FOOLED

Do not be fooled into thinking someone is your ancestor when they are not. This can happen so easily, you may not be aware of it until many years have passed.

THE ITALIAN CONNECTION

Since the late 1800’s immigrants from Italy have been flocking to Canada in search of work. Many Northern Ontario communities are beneficiaries of this influx of hard working people who have truly added their flare to the growth of the North.

BINGO GENEALOGY

Being such a popular past time for so many, I thought I would see if Bingo could be found in the Genealogy world. I chose several databases online to help me with this assignment.

THE TWELVE DAYS OF A GENEALOGIST’S CHRISTMAS

On the first day of Christmas, my ancestors sent to me one extended pedigree tree. On the second day of Christmas, my ancestors sent to me two family group sheets and one extended pedigree tree.
