Now some of you may not worry about your safety or the safety of others when it comes to researching your family history, but the longer you trace those lines, the more aware you become of the importance of safety in the genealogy field. I have always tried to be aware of my safety while delving into my past or the past of others. Yes, there are many things to consider safety wise when conducting genealogy. Safety with your finances, safety with your information, safety with meeting others for the first time, safety in helping others, safety in traveling, safe keeping of documents from fire, flood, mice and the dog and the list goes on.
