We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Sr HR Business Partner to act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees in all aspects of Human Resources in support of organizational and business strategies.  As a relationship manager for the assigned portfolio, the role provides consultation, guidance and advice on a variety of HR topics including human resource planning, talent development and management, succession planning, performance management, employee relations, organizational design, HR policy and program delivery.  The role also provides investigative support and conflict resolution on workplace issues, Human Resources policies & programs, human rights and employment legislation.

YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME

Reporting to the VP HR Partnering & Talent Development , you will be empowered to:

  • Partner with leaders in the assigned portfolio to create and implement a robust talent, workforce and people strategy that will enable the achievement of departmental and divisional goals and objectives, and drive business value through people.
  • Provide coaching, advice, service and support to department leaders to enable talent and business strategies to support a culture of inclusion, empowerment and leadership effectiveness.
  • Provide proactive and specialized employee relations advice/consultation to business to minimize all aspects of employee risks such as, reputational, legal and legislative.
  • Partner with People & Culture departments to effectively provide business context for the design and development of programs and policies that include performance assessment planning, talent management activities including assessment of potential and succession planning, compensation reviews, etc.
  • Build long term strategic relationships with people leaders, act as the trusted advisor in the interpretation and communication of policies and programs, assessment of talent and staffing requirements, enhancement of employee engagement, performance management and succession planning.
  • Manage and provide recommendations on terminations, disability leave management, complex high risk and sensitive workplace issues and conflicts including human rights inquiries, workplace harassment and employee investigations to ensure business continuity.
  • Investigate and respond to pre-litigation files to maximize opportunity for effective & timely resolution and risk mitigation, consulting with internal and external counsel as required.
  • Manage employment separations including recommending settlement offers, coaching managers on separation meetings and full and final settlements.
  • Lead the delivery of HR programs, policies and initiatives within business portfolio, considering people impacts and appropriate change management strategies
  • Support the end-to-end delivery of the organization’s Performance Management Program from planning to calibration and completion of year end performance management system activities.
  • Support the implementation of organizational design activity, including change management and communication activities to minimize business disruption.

WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY

Work Experience: 7+ Years of overall experience with preferably 5+ years of related HR progressive experience including managing, developing, and delivering HR services and programs 

Education: University degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or related field is an asset
