There are currently more students than beds available at the University of Guelph, and we are likely going to see this in the off-campus housing market as well because a lot of rental properties were sold back to families during the COVID-19 market jump in early 2022.
It's a good idea to get organized with your tenant groups early and make decisions on renting a property as quickly as possible to avoid missing out altogether.
Don't wait! The student rental market is competitive and you don't want to be out of luck come the summer months or September.
Our advice: DON'T HESITATE! If your group can agree on a property, be prepared to sign your lease documents to secure your housing.
