The North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority (NBMCA) provides inspections on new and existing on-site sewage systems (OSS) located in designated areas within Nipissing and Parry Sound Districts, under the Building Code Act. Reporting to the North Bay Area Supervisor, the OSS Data Clerk/Administrative Assistant is responsible for maintaining and improving NBMCA’s existing OSS permit records (approximately 50,000 records) both electronic and hard copy.
The OSS Data Clerk/Administrative Assistant is responsible for the following:
• Maintain NBMCA’s OSS permit records for the day-to-day
needs of OSS staff which includes:
• Maintaining and improving OSS permit records in an
existing web-based database
• Entering daily updates to permit information
• Uploading OSS permits as completed
• Maintaining the storage of historic paper OSS permit
records
• Take payment, research and provide written responses to
legal/real estate inquiries related to On-site Sewage
Systems.
• Take payment, research and provide written responses to
requests for copies of OSS permits from external
stakeholders and NBMCA staff.
• Provide reception support including answering phones,
taking payments, customer service, etc.
