WEEKEND Over the weekend, the North Bay Police responded to 212 calls for service that resulted in 19 arrests. Offences included assaults, domestic assaults, mischief, impaired driving, breach of court orders and public intoxication.

MISCHIEF Over the last two weeks, there have been 3 different incidents where headstones at Forest Lawn Cemetery have been knocked over. Three or four headstones were knocked over on each occasion.

ROBBERY On the 6th Sept at 2:30 pm a woman was walking on the 700 block of McIntyre St E when she was approached from behind and her purse grabbed. When she turned, an unknown male hit her in the face with an open palm.

BREAK AND ENTER Between the 1st and the 4th of September, the Thrift Shop on McIntyre St was entered and a safe taken. The safe was 1.5ft X 1.5ft and was bolted to a shelf. Thieves removed the shelf with the safe.

WOMAN ASSAULTED At 11:45 pm on the 30 Aug a young woman went for a run. She was on McLaren Ave between the old St Joseph hospital and Algonquin school when she was pushed to the ground from behind then punched in the face. The assailant then left.
